An independent study was designed to assess the impact on the appearance of facial skin with regular use of MAGNITONE FaceRocket® (5-in-1 beauty device ), over 4 weeks.

FaceRocket® was clinically proven to improve skin firmness by 29%, dermal density by 35%, skin elasticity by 7% and wrinkle reduction by 10%.

SUMMARY

  • This study was designed to assess the impact on the appearance of facial skin with regular use of a 5-in-1 beauty device (MAGNITONE FaceRocket) over 4 weeks.
  • Instrumental and imaging-based measurements were made, together with volunteers’ self-assessment of the efficacy attributes of the device.
  • 33 volunteers aged 33 to 50 were recruited. The volunteers had visible signs of ageing on the face, including lines and wrinkles and skin laxity.
  • Assessments were made after a single use, after 14 days and after 28 days of regular use.

Cutometer®

Skin Elasticity

A Cutometer® ‘sucks’ the skin, ‘pinching’ it to measure its elasticity. The higher the measured value, the better the skin elasticity.

There was a decrease in skin elasticity, indicating a firming and tightening of the skin. With regular use over 4 weeks, this firming and tightening became statistically significant (P<0.05).

Skin elasticity increased by an average of 7.24% after 28 days.

Cutometer®

There was a decrease in skin elasticity, indicating a firming and tightening of the skin. With regular use over 4 weeks, this firming and tightening became statistically significant (P<0.05).

Skin firmness increased by an average of 29.2% after 28 days.

Ultrasound

Dermal Density

High-frequency ultrasound allows an objective assessment of the cutaneous structure: the thickness of the epidermis and dermis as well as the dermal density, which are useful parameters for the quantification of the cutaneous regeneration process*. The higher the measured value, the greater the skin density.

With regular use over 4 weeks, the increase in dermal density became statistically significant (P<0.05).

Dermal density increased by an average of 35.1% after 28 days.

Canfieldsci Optical 3D Skin Measuring

Wrinkle Volume

Canfieldsci is an image-based skin analysis system. Both left and right-side images were analysed to measure wrinkle volume. The smaller the measured value, the fewer the wrinkles.

There was a decrease in wrinkle volume at the nasolabial fold. With regular use over 4 weeks, this became statistically significant (P<0.05).

Wrinkle volume decreased by an average of 10.7% after 28 days.

CONCLUSION

The results from the study demonstrate (using four independent measurements) that with regular use, after 28 days the device is clinically proven to improve:

  • Skin firmness by 29%
  • Dermal density by 35%
  • Wrinkle reduction by 10%
  • Skin elasticity by 7%
